waves of nostalgia swept past me today as i was walking down the slope from my house to the bus stop. rather empty bag with empty hands, not carrying big plastic bags out of the house seems so weird for a moment. the burden is gone but it made me feel so empty. i miss our event, i miss the rushing and the bonds we've forged, with the students, the facils and within the comm.
ive really learnt alot from this event, especially the pre-event days, the planning the organising and everything. embRACE seems to have pass by wayy too fast for me. it hasnt had time to sink in yet and now its over already. seeing how the kids change, from being absolutely racist to so much more interaction and the big hug after treasure hunt really warms my heart. its so much more satisfying than ive ever thought it to be. not knowing the extent of their racism to understanding them and breaking the ice between them, its really a fulfilling experience. it was really touching especially when everyone cheered their hearts out at the very end, and the whole canteen echoed with their voices and screams.haha ahh i miss jasper the super duper cute kid and of course safaras who's always giving me the despising look!(stupid r for telling him im stupid and crazyy!)and shaun for giving me his popcorn, reuben the haolian vballer etc.im missing them alr!
thankyou facils for being so supportive and having so much initiative. you guys really made a difference and helped us ALOT in the execution. i hope what you've gained is much more than just cip hours. thought some of the facils were really superb, having their own way with kids and having so much initiative. thankyou ss and kw especially for being so helpful!from the plug to getting groceries and walking back cos i forgot to tell you guys to get the oil, and mopping the floor constantly, thanks alot!and all the groupA facils who're like experts at suanning!
and of course thankyou comm members!nuaworm!thankyou for being such a responsible apd and for slogging so hard!thanks for listening to all my bitching sessions and chionging out all the last min stuffs.well done nuaaa!and for the comm, thankyou for tolerating all my nonsense and attitude.and of course for being so adaptive and everything,making things work for our whole event. thankyou for putting in your best efforts and trying to make this event successful!i just hope that it has been a fulfilling experience for you guys as much as it had been for me.it had been a really great journey thus far, with our common ground of dmr etc hahah yayy celebratory dinner soooon!MAX BRENNERS whoooo! alright sth random but i find it appalling that some people can give the heck care attitude even when its sth that concerns themselves!and when its just so useless trying to knock some sense into them cos thats their upbringing and everything.its just so difficult to work with this kinda ppl.its not about protecting yourself but more of being selfish.at least thats what i feel.its just so pointless to carry on when your attitude is just so suckkyy and you dont even feel remorseful.
